so check your calendar and commit to joining us!

Pre-paid Cost

$10 + $1 to cover processing fees + plus potluck item to share

Description:

California Men's Gatherings welcomes you again for the fun of socializing in and by a comfortable pool with a relaxing hot tub, and great guys.

CMG tends to bring out men age 40+, but friendly, open, attitude-free men of any age over 21 are encouraged to attend!

Why the Move to Pre-Payment?

At our last event, nearly 1/3 of our reservations were no-shows, despite repeated requests for people to unRSVP if they couldn't come.

As the host for September is capping the event at 50 men, every no show prevents another man who would have come from attending. In fairness to all, and to the time and efforts of the planners, we felt it necessary to take this step.

If you discover you cannot make it and would like to send someone in your place, you may transfer your RSVP to that man by emailing our treasurer. If you cannot find someone to go in your place, your non-refundable contribution supports CMG in all we do.

When will I be able to sign up?

Right now at the RSVP link under the picture! Payment will require either PayPal, a major credit card, or a debit card.

What to bring:

1) Potluck item and a beverage of your choice. Remember, we CAN have too many desserts, but we can never have too many entrees and sides. If you have a dessert you're eager to bring, lovely! But if you're on the fence, maybe think lunch instead.

2) A serving utensil if your dish needs one.

3) A towel, sunscreen, and a required swimsuit. Please respect that rule.

We know that neķkid parties are great fun for some; this just isn't one.

4) A significant other, friend, cuddle buddy (or all three)...and a pre-paid RSVP for each of them!

Additional Information before coming:

VOLUNTEERS: Besides the fact that we can ALWAYS use a couple of volunteers for set-up and for clean-up, we REALLY need a good crew of folks who could staff the welcome table so that no one has a really long shift. So please let us know in your RSVP if you can lend a hand! It's easy, fun, and it's a great way to contribute to the community.

FOLDING TABLES: We needs some! If you can help with that, mention it in the comments section of your RSVP.

SEATING: This yard is a little light on seating areas, other than plenty of space at the edge of the pool. There might be room for some lawn chairs if you bring them, but not a lot.

DRINKS: A reminder that you should bring what you’d like to drink. Water bottles, thermoses, cans, etc. If you’d like to bring more for others to enjoy, terrific, but please provide for at least yourself. Remember that beer, wine, hard seltzers, and coolers are welcome but not the hard stuff. And it's great if you label your cups so you can easily find and re-use them. If you forget or run out, we'll have some bottled water and refill a pitcher if need be.

NO GLASS BY THE POOL:  There will be an area where any glass items can be placed, but please pour contents into non-glass cups before taking them by the pool.

HOLD HARMLESS SIGNING:  Upon arriving, everyone will be asked to sign a "hold harmless" form, protecting CMG and the host. If you've signed it before, it hasn't changed lately. If you haven't read it before, pre-read this short form so the line isn't slowed by people reading it then.

SMOKING:  If you need to smoke or vape, please ask the person at the check-in table where the designated area is.

PARTY QUESTIONS?: Our treasurer Jim is our point of contact for this event. Please RSVP via the big blue link above and you can ask questions in the comments field. We try to be thorough and he gets lots of email, so please do check if the answer is already in what we sent you already before asking (Like, "What time does it start again?" ;)

If you need Jim directly or lost the address after paying, you can write him at: jimwright@thecmg.org

For 'day-of' questions only, call his cell: 619-718-0194.

RSVP Issues:

NOT COMING AFTER ALL? If you can't make it after all, please unRSVP by sending a note to Jim at the address above. While we're not doing refunds and we're not maintaining a waiting list, if you allow us to reduce the count by one in the system, the next person who checks might get to come after all, thanks to your making that effort.

WHAT IF I LOSE THE EMAIL WITH THIS INFO?: The automated confirmation note will have all you should need, including the party address.

WHAT IF I LOSE THE CONFIRMATION NOTE? Please copy its contents into your calendar program ASAP to reduce the odds of that, but if you're really stuck write to Jim at the address above.

WHY DO I GET REMINDERS IF I ALREADY RSVP'd? Because reminders go out to all members. Sorry, but Constant Contact doesn't know you used our RSVP form ;)

RSVPING FOR SOMEONE NOT YET ON OUR LIST? Encourage them to come aboard! It’s frée and the page is easy to remember:  www.TheCMG.org/join !

All California Men's Gatherings events are drug free.

Some CMG events allow alcohol and some do not.

This event welcomes beer, wine, hard seltzers, and coolers for responsible drinking.
