Lambda Reunion

Just Around the Corner

As the leaves stubbornly begin to change, it’s Reunion time in Gambier, and here are more details about our three days together on the Magic Mountain.

Our festivities kick-off with Welcome cocktails at Coburn Hall, followed by Peter Bianchi’s Festival de Mazza’s dinner, catered by Mazza’s and sure to bring some great memories to the fore.

Saturday’s festivities begin with coffee and pastries on and around the Lambda One Bus from 8:00 to 9:30, followed by an opportunity to meet the undergraduates at 10:00 at West Wing. The annual barbecue is scheduled for the patio behind the Lodge at 12:30, followed by the annual meeting inside the Lodge. The rest of the afternoon is yours to hang with your brothers and/or tour the campus.

At 6:00, we’ll reconvene on the lower level of Pierce Hall for the annual reception and dinner (attire: Blazer and Tie).

And, we’ll close out the weekend Sunday morning at 10:30 with breakfast in the Pierce Servery.

Lodging for the weekend is still available throughout the area at the Holiday Inn Express, the Mount Vernon Inn, and the Comfort Inn. There are also several bed and breakfasts scattered throughout the region—if that’s your thing—and a number of AirBnB houses available if you want to gather a bunch of brothers for the weekend.

To register, click on the button below, and we look forward to seeing you in Gambier later this month.

Annual Meeting

As the annual meeting is just weeks away, the alumni board would like to hear from you as to the future direction it should take. Over the years, the alumni association has spearheaded Lodge renovation and the creation of a backyard patio, as well as a grant program to enable undergraduates to defray costs of summer internships and to provide financial support for rush and brothers with financial hardship.

The support of programming for the undergrads began during the dark days of ΔΚΕ, when there were only three brothers left on campus. Today, Lambda is once again thriving as a fraternity. Thus, this is a perfect time to reassess what’s important to you and to build that into the agenda for the annual meeting at the Lodge on September 26.

All responses are anonymous, and results of this survey will only be reported back to the alumni board in the aggregate.

Alumni Spotlight

CONNOR MOSS ’25

We stumbled upon recent alumnus Connor Moss ’25 on medium.com, where he had written a fascinating piece on how some of the NBA’s biggest stars utilize a form of human “machine learning” to perfect their game.

You see, Connor was the captain on the Owl’s basketball team, and he says that reducing abstract concepts into basketball terms helps him better conceptualize how sometimes-esoteric formulas can be applied to real life.

A Lambda Legacy Continues

Art Stroyd ’67 has been recognized with the 2026 Professionalism Award, which is bestowed on a distinguished Pittsburgh attorney for “years of faithful adherence to the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.” The Pennsylvania Supreme Court also named Art as the chair of the Pennsylvania Lawyers Fund for Client Security Board, whose mission is to preserve the integrity of the legal profession by reimbursing victims of attorney dishonesty. Over the years, the fund has awarded more than $48.3 million to those victims, all funds of which were underwritten by practicing attorneys, not by taxpayers.

Having previously served on Kenyon’s alumni council (and currently a member of the Lambda alumni board), Art is particularly proud of his recruiting efforts for Kenyon, with his daughter, Elizabeth (“Libby”) Stroyd Winsor, having graduated in 1998 (with several friends that were ΔΚΕs during that era) and his grandson, William (“Will”) Stroyd Windsor, a sophomore at Kenyon who is now an undergraduate in Lambda ΔΚΕ.

Quite the Legacy…

Thank Yous from

Our Undergraduates

The ΔΚΕ Internship Fund was established by an agreement with the college, signed by former President Shawn Decatur almost 10 years ago. This agreement permits tax-deductible donations to the college specifically allocated to the ΔΚΕ Internship Fund so that Lambda ΔΚΕs will be able to engage in summertime work related internship activities. We recently received thank-you messages from three recipients of these funds, which assisted with their 2026 summer internships.
