NCA’s 112th Annual Convention will take place Nov. 19–22, 2026 with a pre-conference and day of service on Nov.18, in New Orleans, and will explore Move/ments in the field of Communication. With more than 4,000 attendees and 1,000 sessions, the NCA Annual Convention brings together the Communication community to connect, educate, inspire, and grow. Calls for submissions, reviewers, session chairs, and respondents applications are now open with a deadline of March 25, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.

| For Convention questions, please contact convention@natcom.org. | | 2/20 VLO: Winter Virtual Healing Space VLO: Reclaiming Your Space | | Join NCA on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at noon EST for our Winter Virtual Healing Space: Reclaiming Your Space, designed to support reflection, restoration, and connection during this demanding season. This Virtual Learning Opportunity (VLO) led by Tina M. Harris, NCA President (Louisiana State University), and Jeanetta D. Sims, NCA Immediate Past President (University of Central Oklahoma), is a continuation of the Fall 2025 Virtual Healing Space, though attendance in the Fall VLO is not a requirement for attending this one; we welcome all members to attend. This is an interactive session for members seeking opportunities for healing, encouragement, and emotional support. The VLO will be 60-90 minutes. Watch the January VLO recording featuring expert insights from various communication professionals on their journey to their current position and specific field of practice. | | NCA Leaders Convene in Baltimore for 2026 Leadership Retreat | | The NCA Annual Leadership Retreat took place in Baltimore, MD, earlier this month. President Tina M. Harris convened the Executive Committee and NCA Council members for focused strategic planning and collaboration on strengthening mentorship resources across the discipline. Leaders reflected on the direction of NCA's strategic priorities and identified key programming and initiatives to advance NCA's mission and impact. | | Participate in NCA’s 2026 Membership Survey | We invite our members to take part in the 2026 NCA Membership Survey! This is a great opportunity to make your voice heard as we advance NCA’s Strategic Plan and IDEA Strategic Plan. The online survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. All responses are strictly confidential, and no individual information is disclosed or reported in any way. After completing the survey, you will be prompted to participate in a contest for one of five $50 gift cards as a thank you for providing your feedback. The deadline to complete the survey is Feb. 27, 2026, at 11:59 PST. | | Celebrating Excellence with NCA Awards: Nominations | | Nominations for NCA National, Interest Group, and Honor Society Awards will open late-February, recognizing outstanding scholarship, leadership, service, and impact across the NCA community.
