NCA’s 112th Annual Convention is happening Nov. 19–22, with a pre-conference and day of service on Nov.18, in New Orleans, and will explore Move/ments in the field of Communication. With more than 4,000 attendees and 1,000 sessions, the NCA Annual Convention brings together the Communication community to connect, educate, inspire, and grow.

How to have hope in the impossible times: Thinking through pain, memory and desire during the rise of authoritarianism and fascism in the U.S. 



Join the National Communication Association (NCA) on Friday, March 27 from 1-2:30 p.m. EDT for a transformative virtual event that brings together refugee and immigrant scholars to ask how we think through concepts such as memory, resistance, refusal, desire, and pain when our established systems of knowing and living are collapsing. All together the program considers hope as a communicative practice that shapes our response to oppression and violence.
