Canadian Farmers Need a Level Playing Field of Information - The Hill Times

There's an ongoing challenge at the heart of Canada's grain economy: producers are being asked to make critical marketing and crop-planning decisions without access to timely export sales data. In a global marketplace shaped by volatility, shifting demand, and increasing competition, information matters. Yet, unlike key competitor jurisdictions Canada does not currently provide farmers with transparent, timely export sales reporting.

Rolling Barley for Silage, Greenfeed... and Grain?

Growing barley for grain or malt and thinking about rolling it in? Research shows it's not worth the effort!

Research from Farming Smarter, ECRF and WARC show there is no evidence of crop benefits and a higher risk of damaging plants, spreading disease and reducing yields.

Greenfeed for Unseeded Acres: A Smart Option for Late-Season Recovery

Extreme Prairie conditions sometimes change the plan on you.

Planting greenfeed on unseeded acres offers a timely and practical way to get value from land that otherwise would sit idle.
