Notice: Village Change in Payment Options

Please be aware that on or after Monday, January 6, 2025, the Village of Palatine is required to change our payment processing vendor and the costs associated with credit card transactions will now be passed along to the consumer.

If using a credit card to make payment on any transaction, the Village will pass along the fees from our credit card processor to the consumer. You may avoid all fees by choosing to use the newly offered option to pay by E-Check. The Village will also continue to accept payments made by cash and check.

This change will impact all payments managed by the Village of Palatine, whether they are made in-person at the Village Hall or online. The only exceptions will be payments made online through the parking portal or the Dacra portal, as they are not required to change vendors at this time.

Please feel free to reach out to the Village of Palatine Utility Billing at (847)359-9082 if you have any questions regarding this matter.

Christmas Trees and Wreaths

Live Christmas trees and wreaths can be placed at the curb on your scheduled collection day throughout January.

Important reminder: Please have all items at the curb by 6:30 am. Also, do not place carts in the street.

For more information, contact the Environmental Health Division at 847-359-9042 or visit our website.

Simple Recycling

Textile recycling is available, free, to Palatine residents through Simple Recycling. Textile recycling is a way for residents to recycle used clothing items instead of throwing them away. This program diverts clothing and textile items from landfills, assists the local community, and supports the environment and planet.
