Curbside Leaf Collection Program

The Public Works Department continues its Curbside Leaf Collection Program. Look up your remaining collection weeks using our Community Portal or through our interactive map.

  • Raked leaves must be put into the street and ready for pickup no later than 7 a.m. on scheduled Mondays, but no earlier than 4 p.m. on the day prior to collection.
  • Crews will start the pickups on Mondays and continue throughout the week until all the leaves have been collected in the scheduled zones.
  • Only one pass will be made down each street during each collection week.
  • Pickup on a certain day cannot be guaranteed. Collections are anticipated to finish by Thursdays each week, but may finish sooner depending on the volume of leaves.

For collection guidelines and more information, visit our website or call Public Works at (847) 705-5200.

Meet Loop - Your Friendly Recycling Cart

SWANCC is excited to introduce you to Loop!

Loop is your friendly recycling cart with a big appetite for your recyclable paper and cardboard, metal cans, plastic bottles and jugs, and glass jars and bottles!

SWANCC is a proud partner with the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus and area counties in the Feed The Cart campaign to get residents excited about recycling again and simplify the message of what and how to recycle. Look for Loop appearing on billboards, public transit, and social media ads all across Chicagoland; visit FeedTheCart.org; follow Loop on Facebook and Instagram; and connect with SWANCC for answers to all of your recycling questions!

This project has been funded wholly or in part by the United States Environmental Protection Agency under assistance agreement 84079901 to Metropolitan Mayors Caucus.
