Tooele Happenings

This past month has been a busy and exciting one in our community outreach!

We are honored to be chosen by Stansbury Days as the recipient of proceeds from their North Tooele Fire District Pancake Breakfast—a generous show of support that helps strengthen our programs and services.

This month, our team spent time tabling at community events, sharing resources, and connecting with neighbors. We joined both Tooele and Wendover for National Night Out Against Crime, where we met families, community partners, and local leaders dedicated to building safer communities.

We’re grateful for these opportunities to connect and for the ongoing support that makes our work possible.

South Valley Services received an honorable mention for the Community Legacy Award by People Helping People for making a difference in women and children in our communities and for sharing resources and opportunities with clients of the People Helping People Employment Program.

We’re excited to share some wonderful news from our team! Jeanine has been promoted to Shelter Manager, and we know they’ll do amazing things leading and strengthening our shelter program.

Looking ahead, we’re expanding our advocacy services to reach outlying areas over the next month—ensuring that more survivors have access to the support and resources they need.

Get involved: volunteer with Pathways

From organizing donations and supporting our shelter to helping with events and assisting at the Survivor Advocacy Center, volunteers in Tooele County play a vital role in enabling South Valley Services to serve survivors and their families. Whether it's a one-time project or ongoing support, our volunteers bring compassion, commitment, and a sense of community spirit to everything they do.

We’re grateful for each person who chooses to volunteer with us. Together, we’re building a safer, more supportive Tooele County for everyone.

Donations Needs Spotlight

We need new toys for boys and girls of all ages. They can be dropped off at the Survivor Advocacy Center Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
