This month, our Education & Prevention Specialist, Taylor, had the opportunity to present Teen Dating Violence Prevention (TDVP) to Tooele County's RAD-PAC (Resisting Alcohol and Drugs-Prevention Advocacy Coalition)—a youth coalition dedicated to substance use prevention.
During the session, the youth and their advisors learned about the prevalence of teen dating violence in Utah, warning signs of unhealthy relationships, how to help a friend in need and strategies for safely ending an unhealthy relationship. These conversations are crucial in equipping young people with the tools to recognize and prevent relationship abuse.
We're excited to continue this important dialogue! In April, we’ll return to RAD-PAC to present on Bystander Prevention, focusing on how youth can safely intervene and support their peers.
Contact Taylor if you are interested in signing up for a presentation or know any organization that might be interested.
