Reminder for Downtown Bracebridge Businesses: Winter Sidewalks & Storefronts

Sidewalks must always maintain at least 5 feet of unobstructed pedestrian space.
Retail displays, decorative items, awnings, and sidewalk sales must be removed or kept clear during snow removal operations and should not impede winter maintenance.
All entranceways, exits, door swing areas, and walkways must be kept free of snow and ice to maintain safe access for customers.
Snow and ice must be safely removed from roofs and awnings, and must not fall onto adjacent sidewalks or public areas.
Downspouts and drainage should not discharge onto sidewalks where ice may form.
These requirements help keep our downtown safe and accessible for residents, visitors, and winter maintenance crews.
